Finding the Balance

Many people go through their adult lives taking care of other people with little focus on their needs. They fail to realize that in order to help and better the people around them, they have to take care of themselves first. They fall into a routine which leaves no time for fun or the necessary “me” time. Don’t get my wrong, there’s nothing wrong with being responsible however, when rare opportunities come along  sometimes you have to seize the moment. Of course it’s so much easier to be spontaneous when you’re single, child less and suffer from the “only child syndrome”. It’s especially difficult for the women who was thrown into adulthood at a very young age; the single mothers who want a better life for their children. Women are the pillars of most families and the bringer of life so we don’t have the luxury of being carefree. In addition we have a very small time frame to accomplish so much.

I myself have been trying to find the balance between work and play as I get settled into adulthood while trying to facilitate adventure. After all I am a nature lover and that crave for adventure is unlike any other. The need to travel has been at its peak lately and I can’t seem to tame the free spirit in me.

To all the hardworking, devoted people don’t forget that moments lost can never be regained. It’s not about doing things that’s over-the-top and beyond your means, but the little indulgences count. Life is the ultimate puzzle and no matter how frustrating it can be we must find ways to cope while continuing  to put the pieces together.
