The Art of Letting Go

In this journey called life, we are constantly being tested by the challenges we face everyday. The way in which we cope with the obstacles that we encounter builds character,  and so we cannot allow the pain and rage define who we are. We must not be products of our circumstances! When we accumulate the burdens of our past we get trapped by them which in turn hinders our growth,  and so our happiness is at stake.

We have ridiculous ideologies of what life should be and unrealistic expectations which makes us forget that we are human and so we are flawed. And although everything happens for a reason; part of the grand design, we have control over the choices we make.

In some cases the reasons behind the pain and rage are well founded but the support system is absent, not everyone can find the strength within them to overcome. In other instances we play the game of deflection; blame everyone else and not take responsibility for our actions.

The solution lies with spending time with yourself.  Go on a spiritual journey; withdraw into the company of your thoughts; challenge your mind to explore depths of consciousness; hew and hack away at oneself; shed the many layers of your soul until you get to that point of recognition and acceptance. Then when you know what you want from life, set your goals and how you intend to achieve them.

It’s not expected that one is going to be automatically rid of their troubles, however, it’s critical to find a medium to channel all your emotions into something positive. This is best done by finding a cause you care deeply about and devoting your time, touching the lives of others I believe brings clarity and makes you more appreciative of life. We must always look forward and keep a positive mind.

Give yourself closure. If your mind is still at war with things of the past, you still live there. To grow you must let go.

Blessed 2016
